Senior Photos

Class of 2026: It's time to start thinking about senior photos!

Deadline for Submission: Mon, Dec. 1, 2025. Portraits received after this date may not be published in the yearbook.

Pictures should be taken by the end of October to give your photographer time to prepare your photo.

Acceptable Photo Guidelines:

Students may choose their own photographer to take their senior yearbook portrait. A simple head and shoulders shot is required (see example). No other images will be accepted.

Please inform your photographer of the following criteria:

Upload ONE digital photo full color image.
- Photo quality needs to be 300 DPI or higher for wallet size photo. (Basically, a high-resolution image is needed for printing purposes)
- Do NOT upload PNG or TIFF files. Very important - JPEG file only!
- Photo size must be under 50 MB.
Portraits should be vertical; we will NOT accept horizontal images
Simple, neutral backgrounds look best in the yearbook.
No props are allowed! No hats, sunglasses, sports equipment, animals, cars, weapons, vehicles, etc. Any deviations from the standard "headshot" WILL NOT be published.

*The yearbook team will do whatever they can to reach out to let you know if your photo was not approved.*

Submission Process

Process for uploading senior photo:

Go to the Jostens photo submission website
Type in "Big Lake High School" under school name. Select the school, and click "get started"
Add your contact information and verify your email.
Under portraits click "share photos"
Click "choose image" and select your chosen image for upload. PLEASE UPLOAD ONLY ONE IMAGE.
Type in the senior's first name, last name, and select grade.
Click "add" then "continue."
Select "done" and click the box to agree to the terms and conditions.
Once uploaded, you should receive an emial that the photo was successfully uploaded.

Upload Your Senior Photo

Please make sure to get your picture taken on school picture day too!

This ensures that you will have a current photo for your student ID and will allow Yearbook Staff to use the “school” picture as a “backup,” should you not submit a custom option.

If you choose to use the JostensPix portrait as your senior photo, you will NOT need to upload a photo to the site.

Senior Ad Purchasing Instructions

Purchasing a senior ad is easy! Just follow these instructions:

Visit our school's ad creation page on the Jostens website and login to (0r create) your account.
Create your ad. Choose your ad size and layout, add your photos, and enter your text.

Please Note: Jostens is responsible for our school's yearbook ad sales. Please do not contact or send materials to the school. Jostens retains the right to remove any explicit text, graphic photos or copyright-protected imagery or photos. Big Lake High School reserves the right to edit ads per our guidelines. Please make sure all submitted materials are appropriate for school publication.
